Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken are flipping the script on street food, both at Feniger’s Hollywood restaurant Street and now with the taco truck version of their legendary Border Grill, which has been making the usual bar parking lot rounds via various “tweets.” We are saving our Twitter friendship for now, as the duo have announced they will give 20 free tacos to their 1,000th follower.
At last check, the number of followers has hovered in the mid-800’s, though we imagine a few dozen foodies with trembling fingers are poised for the millennial keystroke.
Even snobs who decry our beloved “street meat” can rally around the dynamic duo’s gourmet truck which slings dulce de leche-filled churros, ceviche cones, and gourmet tacos with the likes of fried crispy avocado and braised achiote Yucatan pork.
