What to Eat From Fig’s Santa Monica Pier-Inspired Menu

Chef Ray Garcia is introducing a special “Pre-Pier” menu this week at his Santa Monica restaurant Fig at The Fairmont Miramar. Garcia, known for his ever-changing selections, is finding inspiration from the upcoming centennial birthday of The Santa Monica Pier for these dishes. Food GPS breaks the menu down for us into three categories: On-A-Stick, On-Bread, and In-A-Basket, which include gourmet versions of food traditionally popular on and around the Pier. There will be wagyu and lobster corn dogs plus duck eggs on sticks, as well as pancetta burgers, and a cashew nut butter and jelly sandwich. Found “in a basket” will be finger foods like buffalo wings filled with blue cheese and bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers. The menu will be available September 3rd for only six days at Fig, ending September 9th when the Pier celebration kicks off. Reservations can be made at (310) 319-3111.
