If it wasn’t for Santa Monica’s spools of red tape, we ‘d be able to tell you everything about the debut of La Cachette Bistro while noshing on the enticing coffee-rubbed buffalo ribs and ahi burgers we promised would be here by now. Alas, an assault of building inspections threw the planned dinner service that was to start last weekend slightly off-course. We’ve spoken with La Cachette’s crew and are being promised an opening “sometime next week.” Until then, the raw bar at nearby Anisette and Josie’s foie-gras-topped buffalo burgers will have to take its place.
