We regret to inform Ivy Stark of New York’s Dos Caminos that as much as she wants a Suzanne Goin restaurant in Manhattan, it’s not happening. “Wow, I am really flattered, but GOD NO!!! I would never open in NYC,” said Goin late last night from her new restaurant Tavern. “First of all, it’s way too far away–it’s all I can do to manage getting across the 405 to Brentwood from West Hollywood. And I love New York too much to turn it into a work place. It’s funny, it is always sort of a chef fantasy: the great architecture, no mini malls, and diners who eat all day and all night in droves, but no, I’m afraid it’s not for me. I would rather just go there and eat!”
