What to Eat at Jane/West 4th’s Football Breakfast

Bacon-Crusted French Toast
Bacon-Crusted French Toast

Despite calling itself “Home of the N.Y. Giants,” the recently opened West 4th/Jane is finally grasping L.A.’s westside demographics by rolling out a new football-inspired breakfast. The restaurant (named for the intersection where Manhattan’s popular Corner Bistro slings burgers) labels itself as a “Bohemian Beer Joint,” but in reality resides in a chain-heavy mall-zone of wide-eyed tourists and Pepperdine/UCLA beer bong pros. The spot will open for these and any other football fans who seek to tail-gait at 9 a.m. on weekends, meeting demands with a complete digital cable sports package and new breakfast menu. Show up, tell them what game you want to watch, and don’t leave until carried out at 2 a.m. To complement its 100-plus bottles of boozy suds and morning mimosas, Jane will serve bacon-crusted french toast, fresh fruit pancakes, and a multi-meat “Hangover Sandwich” among other morning meals. Take a look at the menu and beer list to see if it’s worth donning eye-black for:
