What to Eat at Number’s ‘Depression-Proof’ Tuesday Dinners

Before Bernanke dangles the word “recovery” in front of us again, you might want to take advantage of Tuesday nights at Numbers Bar and Restaurant for a four-course “Depression-proof dinner” at only $19.29. The West Hollywood vet used to swing pretty hard on Santa Monica Blvd., but recently reinvented itself for a broader audience. To that end, Tuesdays are being called “Family and Friends Night” and have a lot of selection for a set meal, with a liberal use of pineapple, both on burgers and blackened chicken, and a giant helping hand from farmer’s markets.
