Starting at 11 a.m. today, Chef Alain Giraud, owner of Santa Monica's Anisette, will be at the corner of Arizona and 3rd St. doling out free samples of mini-croque monsieur and French fried fingerlings. Despite Anisette standing just a few steps away, DineLA has convinced the revered toque to get inside of a trendy food truck, where he will also hand out copies of the special menu he has prepared for restaurant week. Chef Giraud plans to be street-side until 2 p.m., but samples are not guaranteed to last forever. DineLA Restaurant Week starts Monday.
