What to Eat at Border Grill’s Margarita Dinner with Tequila Corralejo

Photo: Corralejo Tequila

We assume you know Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken’s famous Border Grill better than you know the giant blue bottle of Corralejo, the only tequila made outside of Jalisco state that still earns the tequila appellation. Border Grill is featuring the spirit next week for one-night only during their margarita dinner, teaming its snazzy modern Mexican plates with margaritas made from the stuff. Kobe beef albondigas, shiitake ceviche, and sea scallops with poached peppers help form a thrilling menu that culminates in a tequila cheesecake with horchata, both using Corralejo. The dinner costs $45 and includes a gift bag from the tequila distiller. Reservations for the limited-seating event can be made at (310) 451-1655. Until then, we have the menu, below.
