The Dining Room at The Culver Hotel is going global for October, offering nightly five-course beer-pairing dinners that almost resemble an alcoholic version of It’s a Small World, if only the hotel’s famously touted guests, The Munchkins, were still around to dance table-side for our amusement. Labeled Oktoberfest Celebration, the international comfort food dinner costs $38 (ten less if you skip the beer) and starts in Germany, teaming Hefeweizen with a sausage, bacon, and potato salad. After a taste of Japan with Sapporo and Ahi, the dinner touches down in L.A. to sip Angel City Ale alongside pasta made with locally raised butternut squash. Hoptoberfest brew from Colorado makes an appearance with braised lamb, right before churros and Dos Equis flow from Mexico’s direction during dessert. The Oktoberfest beer dinner will be served at Culver Hotel through next month, and reservations can be made at (310) 558-9400. The five-course menu is below, for your consideration.
