Drink.Eat.Play is starting a Septemberfest celebration this month at Paramount Studios. Irked by Oktoberfest, organizers say they want to replace the “German food, polka, and lederhosen” with “BBQ, 80’s glam rock, and Daisy Dukes.” Whether these, or a planned Dave Matthews cover band, really represent the United States’ best cultural output or not, they will have beer, and lots of it, poured without a limit for the $40 ticket price. Over 75 breweries will represent, from Sierra Nevada and Firestone to Pabst and Dos Equis, as well as many an import, even some from Germany. The limited tickets will not be available at the September 19th event, so buy them online if you desire to drunkenly pump your patriotic fist without shame.
