What to Eat at Rockwell, Open Friday in Los Feliz

Rockwell is slated to open this Friday in Los Feliz, tucked in back of Vermont and owned by the same team, Wayne Elias and Chris Diamond. We had our nuts and berries in a bit of a twist thinking Rockwell's construction planned to go fully green on us, but besides a 30-foot coral tree sprouting through its floors and some potential spillage from acai cocktails, it's really Stephane Beaucamp's menu that strives to be sustainable and organic where possible. The concept is cocktail-friendly snack-attack food, with a slight down-home skew and lead by refined market ingredients. Beaucamp is bringing filet mignon tacos to the table, along with blue cheese beef sliders, buttermilk-brined fried chicken, almond pesto shrimp skewers, ginger calamari, a menu of flatbreads, and sides of honey-crema fries and truffle mac and cheese. While we wait to see how this 6,000 square-foot cocktail lounge fits into Los Feliz' neighborly bar scene, take a look at Rockwell's entire menu below.
