BevMo is holding a gargantuan wine event this weekend in Torrance to celebrate the opening of their 100th store. Over 90 winemakers, liquor companies, and beer artists will be on-hand to offer samples of stuff you might never taste again. Guests will be among the first people to try 2007 Bordeaux from over 30 chateaus, and a $6,000 cognac from Hardy, one of the world’s rarest, will be sampled as well. $15 buys you ten tasting tickets, a gift bag, and glass, with the option to buy more, proceeds going to South Bay’s Boys and Girls Club. In addition, there’s a Jim Beam barbecue and live music to keep you busy while you try to stay on your feet amidst the onslaught of champagne, absinthe, bourbon, tequila, beer, and wine being served. This event is open to the public, but you must be 21 or over, to attend. A partial list of confirmed wineries and spirit producers is below, with details as to what they’ll be doing.
