Ilan Hall Brings a Real Pig to The Gorbals

Ilan Hall’s The Gorbals has been closed for over a month now, frustratingly right after opening and earning good press in The L.A. Times. While we’re told the broiler issues behind the closing will be fixed any day now, Hall has taken to more traditional methods of cooking in the meantime, announcing yesterday on Twitter that he’d roast a pig at The Gorbals for Downtown’s art walk. The man does love his pork, and also a healthy dose of fun, threatening guests with stilt walkers and portrait artists. “We’ll be going all night!” promised Hall, and judging from the current silence of his Twitter page, could still be going at 5th and Spring for all we know.
