There was so much culinary electricity in the air at Wolfgang Puck's 27th American Wine and Food Festival last Saturday night that it must have blown a fuse. For a while, the Universal Studios' Backlot was thrown into semi-darkness, as many of the lights and all of the music reached a stop. Still, nothing could dampen the spirits of the couple of thousand party goers when faced with Piero Selvaggio's enthusiastic smile or Thomas Keller throwing a Bouchon beach ball in their direction and shouting "Let's have fun everybody!" Another fantastic event was organized this year by gracious host Puck, allowing high society eaters and some of the world's best cooks to mingle, while master wine makers like Au Bon Climat's Jim Clendenen supplied the rest of the inspiration. But don't take our word for it, check out our slideshow of this weekend's American Wine and Food Festival.
