Atwater Village's Canele has confirmed the next guest chef in their regular "Friends Cook at Canele" series. Next Tuesday, Eat.Sip.Chew blogger, local writer, and pastry chef Jessica Koslow will take to the stove for a three-course dinner of her own design. Koslow has spent a lot of time hanging out on U.S. farms lately and is proud, as you'll soon see, that everything served at the dinner is locally sourced. Even the lamb comes from Cali's Niman Ranch and the eggs from Silver Lake. She will also select tunes to accompany the night. Below you'll find the menu for Koslow's dinner, which is a walk-in affair, no reservations required.

  • Aw, I’m sorry to hear that. The menu was only meant to pay homage to local and urban farmers that have dedicated themselves to a beautiful life of land and produce – and who rarely get the recognition they deserve. The intention is from the heart. An attempt at honoring the ingredients that these farmers have so intently labored over.

  • Really Lilli? You don't like Finley Farms? And herbs straight from Jessica's garden? Nor Neiman Ranch meast? Do you hate life? Rest assured, none of us own Havainia. My flip flops are $2 from Target. And it's seasonally too early for Gap Sweaters, unless you're a sheltered LA lifer.

  • Reading Grub Street LA, in cubicle made by Clone Cubicles, wearing Gap Sweater with Havainia flip flops and Shopbop's hand worn denim pants. A menu that reads like this makes me feel less like eating.
