Chef Issac Rivera returned to the stoves of Il Sole last August after spending a few years cooking in kitchens in Italy. Rivera had cooked at Il Sole in years past and is also a veteran of Drago's restaurants in Vegas and L.A. Upon coming back, the chef is initiating some big changes, with a pronounced commitment to crafting seasonal dishes and sourcing locally.
This week the restaurant will begin opening on Sundays for chef Issac's new dinner menu of rustic Italian comfort. Featured only on Sundays from 5-9 p.m., the menu will explore dishes that Rivera mastered during his stay in The Boot, with homey eats like papa pomodoro, a three-cheese lasagna with bechamel, and refined spaghetti with meatballs and linguini with clams.
