Wilshire is holding an autumn winemaker’s dinner with Tom Gamble of Gamble Family Wines on Thursday, November 12th. The restaurant’s gifted chef, Andrew Kirschner, is designing a five-course menu to pair with Gamble’s selections and pastry chef Jen Shen will put the finishing touches on for dessert. The $85 dinner will be limited seating as it is headed for the Santa Monica spot’s Agate room so guests can enjoy a little intimacy with Mr. Gamble, who will explain how and why he does what he does to crushed grapes and their ilk. Wine selections and a few of Kirschner’s treats are offered below, including a wild boar pot pie that should be in good hands, considering what the man can do with a whole Thai snapper. Reservations can be made at (310) 586-1707.
