Ilan Hall is opening The Gorbals for lunch, starting tomorrow and running from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on weekdays. Hall is adding new dishes and desserts for The Gorbals’ lunch, including a burger with smoked cheddar. Continuing the theme of Jewish-food-assaulted-by-pork-and-Scotland, there will be an arugula salad with schmaltz vinaigrette and chicken confit joined by five-dollar sweet things like a kugel of the day and Israeli cous cous with pumpkin ice cream and bacon brittle. The restaurant will also open its doors on Mondays, starting December 7th. The Gorbals’ new lunch menu is below.
