Akasha Unites Vodka and Latkes for Hanukkah

We can usually depend on Chef Akasha Richmond to infuse flavor into our holidays. For Hanukkah, the chef has teamed up with Tru Vodka to pair unique recipes of latkes, kugel, and brisket with their cocktails for eight potentially crazy nights, starting Friday. Taking a green nudge from Akasha, Tru promises to plant a tree for every cocktail sold (that’s eight trees a bottle). If you made the chef’s Morrocan “gefilte” fish balls recipe we posted in September, you know she flips the script on tradition. One latke is served with wasabi and another with duck confit, plus her brisket can be sourced to Niman Ranch and the kugel comes with a pear-cranberry chutney chicken breast. Take a look at Akasha’s Hanukkah selections and vodka cocktails below. 310-845-1700.
