Guy Fieri and Gordon Ramsay are both performing live in Los Angeles this month. We don't know what strange force is responsible for bringing two of television's loudest mouthed chefs here in the same week, but unlike 2012, this is very real and only a little scary. First up is Gordo on December 15th, who is recording Gordon Ramsay's Cookalong Live at Fox Studios. Squid Ink lets us know we've luckily ducked the chance to appear alongside Ramsay's anger management issues by just a day, allowing us to sample sweet schadenfreude while our neighbors quiver under Gord's gaze and we get to cook the three-course dinner at home, safe from the chef's grasp. Gordon Ramsay's Cookalong Los Angeles airs December 15th at 9 p.m. on Fox.
Two days later, Guy Fieri will roll into town to live out his rock n' roll fantasies in Guy Fieri's Roadshow at The Gibson Amphitheater. Fieri says this is "everything they won't let me do on TV," although judging from the video, attention-starved spazzing-out still appears to play a big part of things. Fieri will cook crazy eats and make risqué quips while L.A.'s own DJ Cobra spins classic and modern rock and a superstar bartender from Australia handles a mega-margarita machine to pour drinks into a pyramid of glasses. It's basically a concert with cooking in place of drum solos, MC'd by a dude we could endure a beer with, but really hope our sisters don't bring to dinner unless he cooks it perhaps. Tickets for the December 17th show can be found here.
