What to Eat at Marino Ristorante’s ‘Feast of the Seven Fishes’

The Marino Clan
The Marino Clan

Think Marino Ristorante and you think the Marino family, who have run the Melrose restaurant since 1983 with inter-generational assistance from the whole clan. If you’re used to their warm greetings at the door, this month the Marinos are really bringing you into the brood with new family dinners every Wednesday night through December. The menus of homey Neapolitan will change weekly and be served family-style, with the pasta and shellfish-rich menus visible online.

Christmas Eve (La Vigilia in Naples) brings Southern Italy’s customary “Feast of the Seven Fishes” to Marino for the 27th year. Maria and Sal Marino (usually found at locations of Bottega Marino) will cook a ten-course feast of traditional Southern Italian Christmas and fish dishes, with three preparations of baccala, plus panettone souflee and roasted chestnuts for dessert. The ten courses are served for both lunch and dinner at just $59 a person. The full Feast menu is below. 323.466.8812.
