Chichen Itza Prepares Mayan Meal this Friday

Chichen Itza chef Gilberto Cetina has prepared a tasting menu to highlight the ingredients and recipes used by the Maya. The Mercado Paloma-housed restaurant has turned out consistently incredible Yucatan plates for years and will showcase the new flavors this Friday evening during four different seatings. While we’re hoping this could lead to a new restaurant, Daily Dish points out that the preparations are not found anywhere else in the Southland and include a duck pibil, venison in pipian, and wild boar with black beans among many other fresh flavors. Reservations for the $35 multi-course dinner are available at 213-741-1075 or through email. A full menu is online.
