Do your Valentine’s Day dinner plans involve that same omelet you’ve been cooking for your sweetie since the first morning-after? Scratch it and join James Beard-awarded chef Chris Nieko as he leads a three-course V-Day cooking class this Saturday at Westin Bonaventure’s L.A. Prime. For just $40, Nieko’s second annual “Cooking on the Edge” class will reveal the secrets behind his scallop Benedict with wild rocket, crispy Serrano ham, toasted brioche, and extra virgin olive oil béarnaise, followed by an entrée and dessert, which will all be served to students, along with Nieko’s company and wine pairings. Putting the scrambled eggs aside to whip out your white chocolate ganache could lift a love life or help you start one. If not, there’s no consolation like a sugar rush. Reservation details and Nieko’s menu are below.
