GoodBite spends a few hours interviewing Joël Robuchon in Las Vegas wherein the chef reveals that Wolfgang Puck is pushing him to set up shop next to Spago but the Montage hotel might have just rejected an offer for an L.A. outpost of Atelier, and that he really doesn’t like molecular gastronomy and had no idea what he was doing on Top Chef. But the best part comes when Robuchon, increasingly entranced by editor Kat Odell, takes the whole session for the chef’s very first In-N-Out Burger in a Phantom Rolls Royce. Despite two able French tongues and two translators, we never find out whether Robuchon went crazy for his animal-style burger, but if photos say more than words, we think this one won’t be his last.
