The Slaw Dogs Hit Pasadena

The Slaw Dogs, a pub selling upscale, international wieners, will grand open tomorrow in Pasadena. The casual restaurant comes from Ray Byrne, former managing partner of The Sunset in Malibu and GM at Santa Monica’s Il Fornaio. Bryne’s dogs include a Thai-Slaw dog with crushed peanuts and Sriracha and pun-enriched pop culture references like a vegetarian Soy Bomb. There are pre-made and daily-changing hot dogs as well as custom toppings like kim chi and truffle oil, plus burger patties, fries, salad bowls, and a range of sausages from the Polish, Spanish, and German traditions. Tipping Slaw’s scales is the TNT Super Dog, a ten-inch monster with chili, cheese, bacon pastrami, fries, and grilled onions wrapped in a tortilla, with a fried egg option. While we to try to remember if that’s just one of the ingredients in the Hawkins House special burger, check out Slaw dogs menu online.
