Mezza’s mixed apps

Culver City has a new home for authentic Lebanese dining. Mezza Grill is serving the recipes of Chef Najwa, a Lebanon native who learned how to cook from her grandmother before moving to England to start her own catering business and restaurant. Najwa moved to the States twenty-years ago and after working for a variety of restaurants, helped start Mezza to introduce real Lebanese home-cooking to the neighborhood. In addition to making her own marinades and fresh-from-market salads, Najwa prepares everything at Mezza 100% from scratch. This results in perfect cinnamon-kissed ground-beef kibbi, rose-water infused ashta cream, and the richest baba ganouj we’ve tasted, among a wide selection of specials, traditional kebab, vegetarian sandwiches, and pita preps. Open less than a week, Mezza already has lunch lines stretching out its door. Check out our slide show of Mezza’s space and dishes. 9901 Washington Blvd. Culver City. 310-202-7888.
