Ludo Lefebvre and Eric Greenspan to Duel Fried Chicken Recipes

Chef Ludo Lefebvre’s fried chicken, which recently spawned its own food truck and was compared to Fernand Point cooking écrevisses by L.A.’s foremost critic, is coming back for one night, this time at Eric Greenspan’s The Foundry on Melrose. Tomorrow both chefs will offer their spins on the Southern staple from 6 P.M. until the dishes run out. The chicken will only cost $6 a piece, but judging from the two-hour lines for Ludo’s fried bird at the L.A. Street Food Fest, it could cost you your whole Tuesday night. Greenspan’s reps tell us this is The Foundry’s way of celebrating “Bluesy Tuesdays,” a night of Southern cooking with live roots and blues music, which will be ongoing weekly, even if Ludo’s chicken does not come back now, y’hear? Speaking of which, has anybody checked on Pierre Gagnaire?
