Anisette's Alain Giraud
Vibrato Grill, the live jazz-infused Bel-Air supper club owned by musician Herb Alpert, is starting a new "Chef Jam Sessions" series where famous cooks command the kitchen for one night, making some of their favorite dishes while a live band backs them up. These one-night sessions promise future appearances by Nancy Silverton and Palate's Octavio Becerra, but first up is Anisette's Alain Giruad. Next Wednesday, the chef will cook five of his restaurant's signatures, from an egg and caviar custard to the lavender ice cream vacherin glace, while Norman Panto's Quartet squeezes out accordion-driven gypsy jazz. The menu for the $95 dinner is below, with reservations made at 310-474-9400. We promise to let you know when Hubert Keller throws his first rave here.
