Corey Haim Honored at Marina del Rey Restaurant; Bobby Flay Parties at Mexico
If you're an eighties baby, there's no doubt that at least a tiny part of you died with the apparent overdose of Corey Haim. In lieu of a formal memorial service, a small gathering was held to honor Haim's life last Thursday at an unrevealed restaurant in Marina del Rey, uniting other "Me Decade" icons like Corey Feldman, Todd Bridges, Kristy Swanson, and Nicole Eggert, among 30 friends and the late actor's mother. On a sunnier note, Bobby Flay is enjoying life while it lasts. The chef threw a private jam on the second floor of Mexico Restaurante y Barra, to which a couple of curious diners tried to join when they spotted the T.V. toque heading upstairs. He wasn't there to put the staff through various wacky trials to determine "America's Next Great Restaurant," but reps tell us he had a ball being off-the-clock.
