Musso and Frank’s Legendary Manager Dies

Edith Carissimi, who managed Musso and Frank Grill for nearly forty years and co-owned the Hollywood ladmark until last year, died last week at her Park LaBrea home at age 95. A Budapest native who worked as a dancer, Carissimi took over operations at the restaurant when her husband, Charles, died six years after they married. Though seldom recognized outside of the establishment, SoCal historian Huell Howser feels, “She was as much a part of Hollywood as any movie star ever was.” [L.A. Times]
