Street Art and Food Trucks ‘Take It to The Streets’ This Saturday

Food trucks going trendy is a lot like street art going into galleries, and sure enough, these two low-brow-to-high-brow phenomenons will meet this Saturday at Meltdown Comics. Organized by bloggers at Viva L.A. Foodies and L.A. Street Food, entry is free to “Taking It to the Streets,” but canned food is encouraged for L.A. Regional Food Bank. We see Mr. Cartoon associate Estevan Oriol will be showing photos alongside graf painter RIME and other underground artists, while Komodo Truck, Frygirl, Baby”s Badass, and CoolHaus will be on dining duty. The food truck festival at Americana at Brand was apparently bonkers, so get ready for heavy traffic on Sunset this weekend whether you plan to be there or not. Saturday, April 3, 2010, 7:00 to 10:00 P.M.
