Cupcakes AGoGo Truck Hits Abbot-Kinney

Cupcakes AGoGo rolled out on Abbot-Kinney this weekend, selling the trendy treats from a charming new truck. GoGo’s cupcakes are packaged in Chinese take-out boxes and almost every one comes capped with a central ingredient, meaning Oreo cupcakes have half of a cookie sticking out of their tops and raspberry, lemon, and strawberry varieties come with real fruit. AGoGo’s flavors include banana bread peanut butter and chocolate, Tahitian vanilla, red velvet, and mint chocolate chip, while the truck fortunately skips having Baby’s Badass-style go-go girls distract from the eats, as Venice is apparently very much over food trucks on Abbot-Kinney these days. AGoGo’s movements can be tracked on Twitter and Facebook, where an official roll-out announcement is yet to be made, but it is also available to come anywhere through private reservations. Abbot-Kinney might not want to see another new food truck, but can it resist cupcakes and pink pinstripes? Alas, only time and angry editorials will tell. Cupcakes AGoGo’s full menu is online.
