A Look Into Olive Kitchen and Bar

Olive Kitchen and BarPhoto: Tatiana Arbogast

We would have ditched the flat-screens (which bother us almost as much as squawking toddlers in fine restaurants) but otherwise love the look of Greg Morris' new Olive Kitchen and Bar at The Grafton. The pastel yellow leather booths, glass and marble trimmings, and dark amber-hued mahogany tables help set the modern casual tone that splendidly comes together in Roy Lichtenstein-style chalkboard murals where daily specials and changing word bubbles will turn it into a massive food-centric column of Mary Worth. Whereas Boa was dark and moody here, Olive is bright and sunny, including two slim patio spaces decked out in beach chairs and two small bars, one glittering in a glass tile mosaic in the back and the other decked out in olive burl wood standing in the center of the room. Check out our slide show of this contempo bistro.
