You might want to keep the news away from Polo Lounge, but Bret Easton Ellis is holding a public reading at Largo at the Coronet next Wednesday evening that will be followed by a dinner prepared at Comme Ça. The reading starts at 8:00 P.M. with Ellis sharing parts of his new book Imperial Bedrooms, a Less Than Zero sequel that uses David Myer’s WeHo brasserie as a location and might also be borrowing its name from a Cinemax movie we once saw. He’ll be joined by guests like Joel McHale and Jerry Stahl, followed by a short film inspired by Ellis’ work. Following that, the author will join Comme Ça as it offers a $50 three-course prix-fixe prepared for the occasion, with a choice of French brasserie dishes both classic (soup a l’oignon gratinee, steak frites) and contemporary (heirloom gazpacho with strawberry sorbet and cured foie). Reservations are recommended at 323-782-1104 and you can see the full Imperial Bedrooms menu below.
