Yesterday a cocktail named for French chef Jacques Maximin appeared at Nick and Stef’s while nearby, Midtown Lunch happened to be munching on Gram & Papa’s new “Ludo Parisian,” a more traditional, baguette-and-mortar version of pop-up legend Ludovic Lefebvre’s liquid ham sandwich. At $10.50, it’s hefty in price, but much like the chef’s $30 foie grois croque, the word is it’s totally worth it. And who’s that handsome Frenchman testing fried chicken recipes behind the counter?
