Andrew Kirschner, the talented chef at Wilshire, is preparing “white plate” dinner dishes that will each be featured on their own night every week. These informal dishes will be served at the bar for fifteen dollars each with a choice of beer, wine, or house cocktail and embody some of the market-driven chef’s favorite comfort eats. Tuesday will be a fried chicken night, Thursday is dedicated to moules frites, Friday is for Newcastle-battered fish ‘n chips, and Saturday is all about spaghetti and “your mama’s” meatballs. The bar-bound dishes are served on a first-come basis and don’t require reservations, making them a moderately priced compliment to the restaurant’s double happy hours and still-swinging post-work bar scene. See Wilshire’s full schedule of white plate dinner dishes below.
