The Happiest Hours on Earth

What to Eat From Comme Ca’s Hourglass Menu

Comme Ca is putting its food and drinks within range of most budgets with a new “hourglass” menu, served daily from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. It’s stacked with comfortable brasserie eats like poutine with sausage gravy, scallop ceviche with caramelized peaches, pulled pork sliders, and tete a porc at nine dollars or less. But it’s the long list of French and California wines by the glass, several priced at five dollars, that really has us squealing “ooh-la-la,” along with Rasputin Stout and Scrimshaw for four bucks and six-dollar mojitos and rye smashes. So if Bastille Day left you fiending for more fine French, but drained of resources for a full dinner, Comme Ca could help you fake one night in Paris for a start.
