Riot House?

The Sunset Strip’s days as a live music mecca might be numbered, but that isn’t stopping RH at Andaz from embracing its decadent, Mötley Crüe-soiled past with a new weekly happy hour that riffs on its old moniker “The Riot Hyatt.” Riot House Wednesdays offer the chic lounge’s designer cocktails for seven dollars, along with six dollar bites from chef Sebastien Archambault, including house-made charcuterie, foie gras, and triple fried truffle oil fries. Starting at 5:00 P.M., it sounds like a party so far, even if it ends at midnight, presumably so today’s Crüe can attend to court dates, kids, and shitty solo projects. Also, down-beat house music is threatened here, rather than a spin through WASP’s oeuvre, so don’t cue the coke-fueled orgy quite yet. And how do you get an even deeper discount?

In an attempt to kickstart the heart of this neighborhood’s headbanging heyday, anyone presenting a recent ticket stub from a live Strip show or a vinyl album from a band who played The Strip will get the bar’s signature Sunset Strip cocktail for five bucks. Start digging through the crates, while we find out what you get for luring Jim Morrison’s ghost out of Larry Nicola’s bathroom.

5:00 P.M. to Midnight every Wednesday at RH at Andaz, 3238401 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. 323-656-1234.
