Labor day means “barbecue” pure-and-simple, something Cafe Pinot chef Kevin Meehan appears to understand. To start the holiday weekend early, the chef is holding a summer picnic and roast this Thursday, preparing tender pork on the patio grill along with penne with sun-dried tomatoes and pesto, old fashioned potato salad, and cole slaw.
