The formula for most food fests these days involves securing as many random food trucks as possible, then raking in the entrance fee as diners pay for each truck's food. Not so at this Saturday's Food Truck Rally held by Thrillist, where the city-centric website is curating five of its favorite food trucks and urging the crowd to decide which one is "the best of the best." Nom Nom, Dim Sum Truck, World's Fare, Dante's Fried Chicken, and Frysmith will offer free samples for the $5 entry price, while DJs Franki Chan and Pigeon John spin for the crowd. Saturday, October 2nd, 2:00-5:00 P.M. at Siren Studios, 6063 W. Sunset Blvd. West Hollywood.
