What to Eat at This Weekend’s Polish Festival

If you want a spin on your typical weekend menudo, Slavic tripe soup (flaczki) will accompany such other staples as pierogi, kielbasa, bigos, blood sausage, and golabki at L.A.’s Polish Festival this Saturday and Sunday. This will be the 65th year of the event formerly known as “Bazaar” (this Pole blames Jose Andres), taking place at West Adams’ Our Lady of the Bright Mount. In addition to eats and beers like Żywiec and Tatra, expect numerous tributes to Chopin’s 200th birthday and, strangely, some Argentine tango. [Polish Festival L.A.]
