Artizan Pizza Kitchen Opens in North Hollywood, Paul Wall Approves

North Hollywood has a new pizza spot called Locali Artizan Pizza Kitchen, recreating what it calls the “old world” style. This means house-made, hand-stretched dough for made-to-order, paper-thin pies with crackly edges emerging from a wood-fired, stone oven, along with organic or all-natural toppings sourced mostly from local farms and free of GMOs. Beyond the star product, grilled fish plates join a selection of wraps and salads. A video on Artizan’s Facebook page shows a plethora of colorful, fresh-looking pies, though its lack of updates and an actual website suggest it’s trying to keep a low-profile for now. However, the restaurant already appears to have one big fan in begrilled Houston rapper Paul Wall, who Tweeted a shot of Artizan pizza late last month, just a few days before shouting out The Commons and weeks before asking, “Pat’s or Geno’s?”
