Alcove Cafe is finally ready to whip out its Big Bar tomorrow in Los Feliz. Those size-queens at Thrillist clarify that it’s actually a “little bar” of antique-y European accents spinning their homemade takes on classic cocktails, with the mojito-recalling, Fernet-floating Benton Park Swizzle a promising pick so far. And yes, there will be food! A small bites menu is doing sliders slightly more refreshing than usual, with both lamb and carnitas, along with bacon-wrapped dates and other tapas-style nibbles. If daily happy hour has you hunkering for a more significant booze sponge, Alcove is expanding its menu too, viewable on the cafe’s website.
