Supper Liberation Front chef Josh Gil is rumored to be out of the forthcoming restaurant Mitla, being opened by Bricia Lopez and family in the former Palms home of Guelaguetza. Savory Hunter hits us with the unfortunate news that this pushes back the opening date, but on a brighter note, says the Oaxacan cuisine will fall under the direction of Lopez and her Zapotec mama. Meanwhile, designer Ricki Kline (Seven Grand, The Varnish) is on-board to design the restaurant, which we assume won’t look anything like the Mexi-itsch at Las Perlas. [The Savory Hunter]
