The writing on the wall appeared for Broadway Deli last spring, with a report that the 20-year-old Third Street Promenade mainstay, founded by Bruce Marder, was going to be pushed aside for more retail space. Tonight, the restaurant will serve its last schmear, closing forever at 8:00 P.M. and leaving Marder with four superior eateries and the Promenade with one less tourist trap. [Eater]
