Suzanne Goin, Caroline Styne, and David Lentz organized what they called a national "dream team" of chefs yesterday at Culver Studios to raise funds for Alex's Lemonade Stand, a non-profit dedicated to fighting childhood cancer. The event was a grand success, with talent like Chez Panisse, Paul Kahan, Susan Spicer, Jonathan Waxman, and Marc Vetri providing tastings for roughly 900 attendees, including celebs like Jennifer Garner, Michael McDonald, and Jim Belushi. Neal Fraser roasted a whole pig in a caja china, Giada DeLaurentiis beamed over her prosciutto penne, Waxman laid out a feast of local produce on the heels of announcing plans for an L.A. restaurant, and Tavern, Huckleberry, and Mozza provided a bounty of sweet stuff.
