If you haven't arranged your end-of-the-decade, blowout New Year's Eve yet, you'll probably be sitting at home. Instead, get a plan together for the most important part of this weekend: Where to nurse that New Year's Day hangover (or celebrate the lack of one) on Saturday. Squid Ink has some good ideas, like hitting Sri Siam Cafe in North Hollywood or get delivery from Lamill, but we found a few more tempting options. Resolutions don't really start until Sunday anyway.
Susan Feniger's Street will have a special "Hangover Brunch" in addition to the regular weekend offerings (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.). In typical globe-trotting fashion, you'll find Mexican menudo, Singaporean kaya toast, Japanese rice porridge, and English fry up, and Quebecois poutine, along with some special hair-of-the-dog cocktails — all perfect post-partying remedies.
Over in Brandon Boudet-land, splurge on soft scrambled eggs with white truffles (a special for the day), or the regular faves like the house-made sausage fritatta or steak and eggs at Dominick's (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). And we're always a sucker for the egg-and-speck pizza and lots of mimosas, which will be served all day, at Little Dom's (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.).
When all else fails: There's nothing an In-N-Out Double Double can't cure.
