The Omnivore's Dilemna Meets Fast Food Nation at USC. Depressed Yet?

Eric Schlosser and Michael Pollan, two authors who have us terrified to eat pretty much everything, will come together at USC in early February to further bum us out with a conversation on the industrialization of food and how it's signaling the end of the world, forcing us to eat bugs, squirrels, and our own babies come end times. Yep, it sounds like another depressing, earnest evening full of pressing concerns about the way we're ravaging mother earth, especially seeing Squid Ink's pleading pic of Pollan as he strains to make someone listen. Fortunately, Good Food's Evan Kleiman is moderating the round-table, which should help the duo offer fresh insight and possibly inject a tablespoon of humor into the conversation. Plus, it's free, so what do you have to lose? Online RSVP's will be offered this Thursday morning at 9:00 A.M. on a first-come, first-serve basis, while the discussion takes place February 9th at 7:00 P.M.
