We warned you that cool throwback butchers were finally hacking their way into L.A. and today Daily Candy gets us face to face with Grindhaus. This new Hollywood sausage shop opened last Monday with such novel servings as boar brat, duck sausage with tart cherry and semi-sweet chocolate, and breakfast dogs, as well as a pantry stocked with house-pickled beets, cucumbers, and haricot verts, and a selection of beer-crafted mustards.
In addition to vegetarian root veggie dogs and a fried chicken sausage that’s in development, the store will also launch a food truck next week and has an early fan in Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden! And be afraid, be very afraid: the owners come from Philadelphia, muhahahaha! Prepare for the bloody onslaught by checking their website, complete with a rockabilly, 70’s exploitation motif, and launching in full with a menu in the next 24 hours…that is, if you dare!
