Lexington Social House Opens April 28th in Hollywood

It's been awhile since we heard a peep from Lexington Social House, the Hollywood and Vine restaurant and lounge that was due to open in February with former Cut and Shutters chef Mette Williams in the kitchen. The restaurant has now set an April 28th date to open to the public and is promising a lot of old-timey Hollywood glamor from New York siblings and first-time restaurateurs Jeremy and Junella Chin. What will Williams be cooking here?

We probably don't need to tell you that hand-crafted cocktails will be a biggie here, as that promise is sort of ubiquitous these days. You'll find Earl Grey-infused bourbon with house-made honey syrup in The Special Agent and moonshine, blackberries, and rosemary in The Hitman, as well as international wines.

The food will be similarly market-driven and seasonal in rotating menus. A press release informs us that Williams' signatures, which already remind us a little of the offerings of Public Kitchen and Bar, will be pork belly confit with roasted figs and celery root marmalade and Bouchet mussels with garlic, chorizo, saffron, and tomato with grilled batard on a menu described as "rustic modern American."

The space appears to be a glossy masculine supper club set-up by Thomas Schoos, complete with stately five-legged Queen Anne chairs, fireplaces, a garden patio, and a carrara marble bar. And if that sounds a little stiff, there will be also be a nightlife component that finds DJs coming twice a week for a dance party.

Does this touristy corner of Hollywood have a real food-forward destination on its hands for once or is this just another lure for the weekenders? Stay tuned for a menu and a closer look as we get closer to the opening.
